Today The Drug of Art launches an exciting art competition to coincide with Children’s Mental Health Week.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for young people under 25 to win a chance to have their own art exhibited alongside the work of artists Alison Lapper, Marc Quinn and Rankin, with the aim of demonstrating the power art can have as a tool for mental health and wellbeing in young people. You can see more about the project on the website HERE
Brighton artist and disability campaigner, Alison Lapper, launched The Drug of Art in 2022, after her 19-year-old son Parys died of an accidental overdose, following a long battle with his mental health. The aim is to demonstrate through workshops, digital content, a podcast and now the competition, the power art can have as a tool for mental health and wellbeing.
