The latest workshops in The Drug of Art x Michael Aldrich Foundation series encouraged children to explore colours from nature.
Facilitated by brilliant art psychotherapist, Clare O’Leary, the workshops were run in partnership with South East Adoption at Worthing Museum.
The workshops brought together 16 participants, including ten young people aged 5-16 and 6 adults.
Clare guided the participants to explore the world of natural hues found in food, plants and textiles. They curiously explored, touched, smelled and created with found natural materials.
We have had fantastic feedback from these workshops with families reporting how much the children enjoyed both the creative process and the chance to make new friends.
Says Clare :
“Facilitating the workshops has highlighted for me the importance of art-making in a group for change, growth and connection”.
With thanks again to CASS Arts for supporting us with the fantastic art materials.
